Ty-Juana L. Flores

As a tastemaker, arts administrator, and strategic designer with over a decade of experience in higher education and performing arts, Ty-Juana—also known as TFLUXÈ—works at the intersection of strategy and design. She supports people, programs, and organizations in forging meaningful connections, achieving outcomes, and driving lasting impact through human-centered design and qualitative research. Blending design thinking with big-picture strategy, she tackles complex challenges, shapes thoughtful experiences, and guides the evolution of services, programs, and systems. Her focus goes beyond aesthetics or functionality—she digs into why things exist, who they serve, and the impact they’re meant to create through a cultural and diasporic lens.

Ty-Juana’s work is rooted in a belief that design—when approached through collaboration and care—can be transformative. She co-creates thought partnerships that center community wisdom, elevate underrepresented voices, and inspire meaningful, lasting change.

She is currently writing people + stories on Substack while expanding her knowledge in wine education, with a specific focus on WSET Level 1 certification. In addition to her independent practice, she’s the Director of Identity-Based Programs at Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA and serves as Board Chair to the Boston Cultural Council for the Mayor’s Office of Arts and Culture.
